Missouri Health Care for All is participating in Give STL Day on Wednesday, May 2.
Give STL Day is a 24-hour, online day-of-giving event designed to ignite the spirit of giving across the region and support causes in the St. Louis area where we live, work and play.
Right now, Missouri lawmakers are considering both helpful and hurtful health care bills:
- The helpful bills being considered would shield Missourians from unfair practices such as preventing health insurance companies from denying coverage for ER visits, protecting consumers from surprise medical bills, and requiring insurance companies to publish accurate provider directories.
- The hurtful bills would implement “busy-work requirements” for participants in the SNAP (food stamps) and Medicaid programs. These bills won’t help anyone get a good job – all they do is take food and health care away from struggling Missouri families.

Therefore, we need to ramp up our grassroots pressure across the state to make sure our lawmakers do the right thing for Missourians.
Will you help?
