On Friday, April 3, Governor Parson finally yielded to the thousands of Missourians demanding a statewide stay-at-home order, which is critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19 in Missouri. Or so he said.
In fact, Governor Parson’s “order” does not restrict Missourians from gathering any more than previous social distancing guidelines did. Businesses have broad ability to continue operating, even if they are not essential. The order actually weakens local orders already in place by allowing businesses in those counties to apply for an exemption from the social distancing orders.
Send Governor Parson a message telling him that this weak “order” isn’t going to protect Missourians – and he needs to issue a REAL stay-at-home order right away.
